VOCAGE - Contextualised Agent-Based Learning framework for Vocational Training

VOCAGE main objective is to provide public and private vocational training institutions such as universities, schools, and also private training providers with an operational ICT environment that facilitates the creation, maintenance, and delivery of scalable and affordable vocational and “on-the-context” training solutions.
To achieve its aim, the VOCAGE system will build both on tools and platforms developed by the project partners and on existing open source software in the domains of artificial intelligence, communication platforms, and knowledge management technologies. In particular, the project will integrate the existing technologies and focus on the pivotal issue of effectively reflecting the contextualisation of the learning processes in the integrated implementation, using state-of-the-art agent technologies that support this process.
The project has secured the involvement of four end user organisations that have different levels of experiences in ICT-supported vocational training, which will allow us to determine empirically the success factors for an effective deployment of this type of technologies under different vocational training settings and carry out a differential validation of the learner impact in these settings at three different European countries, including the candidate country state of Slovenia.
