(...can be found on the Update July 99 page)
The site has been re-designed and a simplified navigation has been introduced.
The site now contains the sections on:
The latter two sections contain reports on related areas from the transnational partnership, and links organised by country.
There have been some technical difficulties in setting up a password-protected area for the site for the partners to present draft papers, management etc. Toucan will continue to look at this aspect with our Internet Service Provider in the UK.
An 'off-line' version was available for the partners to view during the meeting and discussions on the web site and sections. Ms. Lucia Cantone checked the site with a PC and judged it positively. Information on co-operatives should be added to the site. Following this opportunity the changes to the site were agreed by the transnational partnership.
The site is not 'fixed' and comments and suggestions etc., are welcome especially from beneficiaries within the respective national projects.
After lunch, Ms. Cantone described the Contact Project's accessibility experiment and presented one of the students' products (Web site of the cooperative).
The original framework doucement on which the case studies were to be based was thought to be to confusing and restrictive.
After discussions on the process of compiling the document and the 'sections' that would be included within the case studies the following generic areas would be addressed:
In order to ensure all partners can read and access each case studies the working format of the documents would be Word, font - Times Roman 12pt, with a maximum of 20 pages.
Draft documents to be circulated to each partner, and if possible that conclusions should be within the case studies so that common themes can be drawn out for the final recommendations within the Good Practice Document.
The respective case studies to be circulated to each partner by the 15th September'99.
The aim is for the draft document to be discussed at the next TAD meetings in Gran Canaria at which we should be able to draw out the main recommendations within the overall Good Practice Guide.
The external evaluator, John Clark, requested further feedback from the partners on the questions raised in the Interim Evaluation Report, he was concerned about the slippage on some of the deadlines for information which could cause a delayu in the preparation of the final evaluation report.
Also if there are other points or issues that the partners wish to raise then please pass them on to John.
A date of the 15th September was set for responses but obviously earlier responses would be preferred.

Claudio Sicolo outlined the latest call for projects from DG V under two headings:
Work under the TAD partnership could be developed under the 'Civil Dialogue' strand using the TAD web site as a base. This site could be expanded to allow a wider network of organisations to interact around various issues.
The deadline for submission is the 27th August 1999.
In conclusion, Mr. Desogus summarised the deadlines and the commitments undertaken, and thanked the participants, including the ILO official Robin Poppe, who had been present during the final stages of the meeting.
