employability

Some groups in society remain at a signifcant disadvantage in the UK labour market in spite of falling unemployment. The work of Toucan's employability projects is to offer the opportunity through training for people from these groups to enter the world of work.

employability projects

The projects CATCH (Creative Approach To Combatting Homelessness) and HOME (Homeless Onto Meaningful Employment) are under the employability strand. Both these projects work towards giving homeless people new skills that will help them move into employment.
A number of other projects we run, or have run in the past, have an underlying theme of employability, particularly some of our lifelong learning and social enterprise projects that offer training to disabled people, ex-offenders, young people not in education, employment or training, people with mental illness and unemployed people.
