last updated: 2 Feb 05 trainingICTNearly a third of the UK’s population are being left behind in our increasingly information driven society, many of whom are thwarted by a genuine fear of attempting to use a computer. That is why Toucan Europe has joined forces with BCS (British Computer Society), NCFE, National Inter-Action Trust Ltd and BBC Webwise, to offer a variety of ICT courses. A number of our courses are designed specifically for technophobes with the aim of supporting our learners to overcome their initial fears and gain confidence in computer use whilst at the same time gaining an ICT qualification. We also offer courses aimed at people with existing experience of computers who want to brush up or improve their skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification. The accredited courses we currently offer are: | European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) We also have two weekly drop in sessions open to the public, which are free if you live within the Ardwick area. These are on Monday and Friday mornings, spaces are limited from time to time, therefore you will need to make an advance booking by calling 0161 273 5122. If you are interested in any of our ICT courses, please contact Helen Unsworth, by emailing helen.unsworth@toucan-europe.co.uk or calling 0161 273 5122 |
