youthyoung people often encounter problems finding services and opportunities that are specifically tailored to their individual needs. The work of Toucan's youth projects is to address these needs by developing services for young people aged 13 to 25, in close partnership with other organisations concerned with youth issues. youth projectsThe projects GMY Network, Millennium Volunteers, Again-St Abandon and Joint Forces are under the youth strand. Greater Manchester Youth Network is an umbrella organisation for youth organisations in Greater Manchester. Millennium Volunteers is a government scheme to encourage 16 - 24 year olds to volunteer. Again-st Abandon is a European project looking at best practice for dealing with school drop outs. Joint Forces is a European project between youth organisations and police forces aimed at finding a way for them to work together to help young people. |
